Description

This program will cover the CMS infection control standards and antibiotic stewardship program, TJC’s antibiotic stewardship program requirements, and CDC’s Core Elements of Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship. Our speaker will discuss common deficiencies in infection control and provide tips to ensure compliance. Attendees will learn about CDC and FDA’s updated procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing reusable medical devices, CDC’s Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, CMS memos on infection control, safe injection practices, CRE, ISMP, and insulin pen memos.

Ms. Calloway received her Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, she is certified in healthcare risk management by the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and is the first in the country to be certified in CMS regulatory compliance
