Description

This learning module aims to provide the reader with an overview of penile cancer. The focus is on clinical and medical aspects to help nurses understand incidence, aetiology, diagnosis and treatment, to enable them educate and support patients affected by this disease. Psychological support of patients and their partners is also emphasised as the effects of penile cancer can be significant.

Objectives

The aim of this module is to educate and inform nurses about penile cancer. It focuses on the pathophysiology and treatment of the disease as well as the psychological effect it can have on patients and their partners.

On completion of this course you will gain an understanding of:
Recognize the signs and symptoms of penile cancer and management strategies of these patients.
